Austin is a third year MFA candidate, he makes sculpture primarily from steel, wood and ceramics and come to Montana from Oklahoma. About his work Austin states As I create, I find fulfillment in making the work, there is a pleasure and meaningfulness to making. It is also a period where I am able to self-reflect and contemplate on the changes that have shaped me. These moments motivate my artwork and help me realize my place on earth. In a sense, it is a doorway for me to gain self-awareness and discover my identity.
