MFA Candidate: Studio Art

Crystal McCallie grew up in Northwest Texas and began her early art education at Amarillo College and West Texas A&M University. She recently received a BFA in Drawing and Printmaking from the University of Montana. In her mixed media work, she seeks to capture rare, quiet moments and their intricacies that portray shared emotional experiences of the human soul. The outcome reveals both the tension and tranquility of the subjects that include people, nature, and objects of curiosity that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Crystal is a first year graduate student with an emphasis in printmaking and textiles. She resides in Missoula, Montana with her husband and four children.
