MFA Candidate: Studio Arts

Lily Bennett graduated with a BFA in ceramics at Sierra Nevada University in Incline Village, Nevada. She is currently in her second year of graduate school working towards an MFA in ceramics. About her work Lily states “ Like the tides in an ocean, I ebb and flow from 3D to 2D work many times using clay as the anchor. I am currently creating wearable art. By using methods such as welding, weaving, sewing and sculpting I create exoskeletons for the human body. I use these creations for the purpose of protest, but also to symbolize strength, protection, power and resistance.
