Lily Kipp

MFA Candidate: Studio Art 

Lily Kip is a first year MFA candidate focusing on formalist oil painting. A lover of the figure and New England greenery, her work shifts between landscape and portrait with a constant allegiance to flattened perspective and vibrant color. Her work poses questions of narrative, memory, and existential embodiment. She was raised in Massachusetts and spent the last seven years in Maine, where she received a BA from Bates College in Visual Arts and English Literature.
