MFA Candidate: Media Arts

Mirela Musić grew up in a Brooklyn walk-up as the superintendent’s daughter. Like most Brooklyn natives, she went to Brooklyn College and lived with her family well into her adult life. Currently, she is an MFA candidate in Media Arts at the University of Montana, where she also received her MFA in Creative Nonfiction. Switching out the Big Apple for Big Sky, Mirela continues working in the expressive arts with a narrative emphasis on personal history, immigration and family.
